The Friendship Registry exists to recognize something that formal institutions rarely have a place for: the friendships and chosen bonds that shape our lives. We provide a formal, enduring record of those connections, giving them a place to be acknowledged, celebrated, and remembered.
What We Are Not
We believe meaningful recognition begins with complete transparency. The Friendship Registry is a private, independent registry and should not be mistaken for a government institution or a source of legal rights.
Not a Government Entity or Notary: The Friendship Registry is an independent platform. It has no governmental affiliation and does not exercise the authority of a court, notary, registrar, or other public institution.
Not a Legally Binding Contract: A registration, certificate, pledge, or other record created through the registry is a symbolic declaration of friendship and mutual commitment. It does not, by itself, create financial obligations, property rights, powers of attorney, inheritance rights, or other statutory rights.
Not a Substitute for Legal Documentation: Registry records are intended to commemorate and document a personal bond. They should not be relied upon as a substitute for contracts, wills, powers of attorney, court orders, or other documents that carry legal effect.

What We Are
The Friendship Registry is a dedicated record of human connection. We believe friendship deserves more than a message, a photograph, or a memory tucked away in a private archive. Some friendships deserve to be formally acknowledged.
A Record of Intention
A formal declaration that two people have chosen to recognize the importance of their friendship and preserve a record of that decision.
An Archive of Chosen Bonds
A lasting place for friendships to be recorded, remembered, and celebrated as relationships worthy of recognition in their own right.
A Commitment to Mutual Recognition
Every registration is founded on mutual participation. It is not a declaration made for one person by another, but a bond acknowledged and accepted by both.
Standards of Registration & Governance
Because a record is only meaningful when it can be trusted, every registration is expected to meet the following standards:

Dual Verification & Mutual Consent: A friendship cannot be registered unilaterally. Both parties must explicitly verify and accept the registration before it becomes part of the public record.

Authenticity of Purpose: Registrations must represent genuine human relationships. Entries involving impersonation, deception, harassment, or non-consensual use of another person's identity may be rejected, suspended, or removed.

Integrity of the Record: We seek to preserve accurate and respectful records. Where information is found to be false, misleading, or improperly submitted, the registry reserves the right to review and take appropriate action.

Dignified Dissolution: Not every friendship lasts forever. Where a registered friendship comes to an end, the registry provides a respectful process for addressing the record, with the aim of preserving the dignity and privacy of everyone involved.
